Pieter is Program Manager International at CIRCO and has supported companies and designers in 14 countries in developing a circular business proposition (business model, product (re)design and service component).

During the BoDW events, I’m happy to share the key design principles of the CIRCO-methodology, the cumulated learnings of participating companies and the role of designers in the circular transition. On the basis of which we could have a dialogue to see whether the methodology, learnings and best practises could contribute to tackling the challenges in your domain.

In total CIRCO has supported over 1,800 companies applying the tailored circular design methodology and trained over 800 creative professional to integrate these tools in their work. There are tailored design modules developed to tackle the specific challenges for sectors like capital goods, consumer goods, construction and packaging.

Since 2019 we have been rolling-out the methodology and sharing the built expertise internationally. The methodology has been (successfully) tested in 16 countries and local partners have been trained to apply it locally in 14 countries yet. The CIRCO-programme is distributed in cooperation with CreativeNL and has been co-financed by the Dutch government.
