Prof. Xu Ying-Qing is a professor of Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University (Beijing, China), as well as director of the Future Lab, Lab for Lifelong Learning, and Tsinghua University-Alibaba Joint Research Laboratory for Natural Interaction Experience. In Tsinghua, his teaching and researching are human computer interaction, tangible perception & interaction, e-heritage, and the method of the lifelong learning. Before joined Tsinghua University in 2011, he was a Lead Researcher of Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA, Beijing China) where he has worked for 12 years since January 1999. Prof. Xu has published about 100 research papers and granted/pending patents. He has served as the conference co-chair, program chair, or program committee member for many academic conferences. He is a fellow of CCF (China Computer Federation), a member of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), CAA (China Artists Association), and a senior member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). He received his B.S degree of mathematics from Jilin University (China), and Ph.D of computer science from Chinese Academy of Sciences.
