LAAB Architects · Hong Kong
Otto Ng is the Design Director & Co-founder of LAAB — a laboratory of art and architecture.
LAAB is a collective of architects, artists, designers, engineers, makers, and sociologists specializing in spatial innovation. The interdisciplinary team has completed some of the most innovative projects in Hong Kong, including the newly revamped Asia Art Archive, ADD+ and Mosu at M+, the new Hong Kong Stock Exchange Connect Hall, the f22 foto space, and various public spaces in Victoria Dockside.
The experimental spirit of LAAB goes hand in hand with pragmatism, which is paramount to bringing innovative ideas to life. The studio was named the ‘Design Studio of the Year’ by INDE Awards in 2020.
Prior to co-founding LAAB, Otto received his Master of Architecture from MIT, and practiced in the US, UK, and Italy. An innovator at heart, he was named one of ‘The Asia’s Most Influential’ by Tatler.
